Back Pack Station

At Orgjunkie.com , Laura has been getting her house ready for back to school. I so was inspired by her Back Pack Station months ago that I created one for my kids before school ended last year. I know bad timing on my part but it works for us now. I'm sure our back pack station is a work in progress but so far I have no complaints that no money can buy. LOL!! I do not have any before pictures just after.

Here is a close up of the back pack board and a little weekly activity organizer I have made for each of the kids. I laminated these weekly charts so I can use a dry erase marker on them to make any updates or changes. This way not only do I know whats going on during the week so do my kids and DH. No questions!! I did use a calendar method last year and that was OK but the kids had a hard time keeping track of what was what. So I'm hoping this method will work for us. My crafty side of me got the better of me and I decorated these charts for each kid.

This is a close up of one of the charts. I labeled all 7 days of the week and left enough room to write activities in for each day. Then I sticker ed their names on their own chart as well as added some personal stickers to show off their personality. This one is DS's! I'm pretty sure the chart is self explanatory.

Hope this might help someone.

This is such a great idea. I love the fact that each kid has their own chart. My kids are always asking me what are we doing. Of course, they can't read yet but as they get older I may do something like this for them. Thanks for sharing it.

Lori: I love your suggestion on how to combine individual charts (with scrapbooking details). I will be using that idea with my kids this year! thanks
